19th Century Original oil on board by French artist Albert Charpin. Frame is mid 19th Century of composite construction, gilt and plaster on wood. Some chips in the plaster and on the corners of the frame. The painting is in good condition without evidence of restoration or paint loss. Albert Charpin 1842-1924. Born in Grasse, Fance, Charpin painted mostly natural landscapes,typically, with a shepherdess and her guadian-dog taking care of animals, cows or sheep.He is a well-known member of the Barbizon School. His paintings can be found in museums and private collections around the world. Condition: Painting is in very good condition. Frame has a few minor chips on sides and corners, but good for its age
